Default S60 '14 Alarm Issues

Hi All,

I'm the last few week my alarm has been going off at random times (2am this morning!) my drivers door also doesn't lock straight away with the other doors when I press the fob, it seems to lock with the deadlocks. It doesn't always unlock when I then use the fob to get back in again.

Is there a short term way to stop the alarm sounding off? I tried locking using the key blade but that only unlocks the passenger side.

I also forgot to mention that the bonnet open warning comes up randomly too (I just started the car this morning and the warning was there) but disappeared when I moved it!

Hi,
I think I have read on here before that there is an alarm switch under the bonnet as well as other places, maybe it’s faulty/ got a bad connection. some fault there as your bonnet open alarm comes on as well. I’m guessing that the bonnet is actually shut. Something to look at whilst you wait for someone with more knowledge than me to come along

Hey Jensen,

Well I had a fiddle tonight and oiled both the latches and even clicked them both shut with a screwdriver as if to mimic the bonnet being shut and it still said it was open. I was then about to give up when I found 3 rubber stops on the underside edge of the bonnet. I wound them in a couple of turns, shut the bonnet and hey presto, warning has gone! For now lol

Have you tried closing the bonnet with a bit more force (a good slam )it worked on the older cars(pre 2010)
