PV 544 Sill
I am looking for a left hand side (nearside) sill for a PV 544. I hope someone can help.

Hi Acturus
Thank you for the link. Sills can be complicated, I would call that a right hand sill, it depends on your perspective, either sitting in the car or standing in front. The sill I need is on the same side as the steering wheel. I realise they are available in Sweden but not sure how to go about that, perhaps I should talk to Brookhouse. Cheers Richard |

I knew I had one up in the garage but sod's law finds that it is the wrong side. i.e. off side/passengers side.

Hi Derek
Thanks for looking, could you check on the sill as it looks like a nearside (drivers side) or it could be late and I am not seeing it properly! Cheers Richard |

When you look at a PV from the side you'll see that the join at the rear of the sill under the rear of the door is a short vertical one. The pictures show this. The wider part of this panel is at the front and joins the lower part of the bulkhead under the rear of the front wink. You can't see this with the wing on.
On this basis I say it is an offside wing /passenger side LHD. |

Hi Derek
You are quite correct, I assumed the tapered part of the sill was behind the rear wing not the front. My sills are made of rust and filler so not easy to tell. Is your sill for sale? if so contact me on richard-larter@sky.com Cheers Richard |
