Advice buying an XC70
Hi, I'm looking for an XC70. Wrote on the prev shape XC70 model and got lots of help and advice. I found the newer model for affordable 3.5k.
The service history looks quite ok, the MOT history as well. It seems a good price, at least in comparison to other cars on AT and ebay with same milage/age. But, the owner is selling for his brother, so he's not named on the V5. It's also quite far so would have to take day out to come and see the car (and money). Do you think it's worth it? And is it better to stick to the prev shape at that price tag? The only thing is I'd get similar milage and service history for around 3k for the previous shape anyway. General context: I'm looking for a reliable and dependable car I can take camping and take occasionally for light off-roading

seems good for the price and he has used a local indie close to the sellers location. pay for a online check before traveling just to check its not a cat d. also remember not all xc70 are 4wd.

Can you meet at the registered address and speak to his brother, the registered owner at the time of purchase ?

There were also lots of advisories during its last MOT check so expect some bills. Some photos in the dry would also be nice. Last edited by Sotosound; Jul 26th, 2022 at 17:13. |

I will ask for that. If this is not an option I might want to walk away. Better safe than sorry.
