Default DLA and PIP

Hi,
As anyone that receives Disability Living Allowance may know that Department for Work and Pensions are now changing Disability Living Allowance (DLA) to (PIP) Personal Independence Payment. I have already been asked to start the process, so hopefully if I change over ok, and I am accepted for this PIP, I will make a write up about the procedures to help others out. It does not matter if you are on DLA Indefinitely or for a fixed period of time, Everybody that has DLA will need to change over.

Regards
Stuart

Not everyone has to convert. If you are over 65 and receiving DLA indefinately, you stay on DLA.

Only if you were 65 or over before 8 April 2013, wife changed because her circumstances had got much worse.

BEJ,
I am afraid it does not matter what age you are or if you are infinity on DLA or not, Everybody has to change over. I have the paperwork in front of me, and I double checked before I posted this. Everybody that is on DLA no matter the circumstances have to change over now. I believe that they were looking into keeping people on DLA under certain circumstances but unfortunately I think they have changed their minds.

I am hoping that the transition goes smoothly for my self.

Regards
Stuart

Good luck, didn't realise they had changed the goalposts again! But does say on the bottom if page two on the gov site

https://www.gov.uk/government/upload...lacing-dla.pdf

That those 65 and over before 8 April 2013 won't change to PIP, so who knows?!
