Default ETM sensor starting to go ?

Hi !

Have a 01' XC70 2.4T with a Magneti-Marelli yellow sticker on the ETM.
After car completely warms up, if sitting in traffic for a while (stop-go), idle starts to fluctuate every now and then. Only happens at idle, driving is fine.

As it seems to become apparent only when warm, I'll put some heat shielding around the sensor to try to mitigate and "delay" the problem. However, haven't got much fate...

Anyway, the question is, when finally going for a replacement, can I just change the sensor or it has to be the whole ETM ?

Thanks

Hi, could I ask if this is still an issue for you?

Having just purchased a car with a consistant idle hunt (800 - 1200rpm), I am trying to work out if I've bought a moneypit!

Thanks

While doing other maintenance (replacing camshaft seals), I asked the mechanic to clean the inside of the ETM and... problem gone.
