Vac hose turbo
Can someone please check the vacuum hose from the turbo valve goes?
I know it goes to the inlet manifold but which port? Car is still having the stalling issues sometimes. I wondering if the vac line should have a bigger bore and fit into a larger port. Since my car is modded I cant remember where it went or on what etc. Cheers Martin

just normal 4mm silicon hose will do and it goes up to the inlet manifold, having it off with mean the CBV doesn't operate and does cause stalling issues

Cheers. I'm running 3mm hose if that makes a difference.

Any stalling issues caused by the dump valve will only happen shortly after boost. It takes about 5s to bring the inlet pressure down to atm pressure if you keep the rpms up a little with no load. If you close the throttle during that time it will stall.
If that is what is happening, remove the dump valve and check the diaphragm for tears. If its stalling in other circumstances then its probably not a dump issue. |

It's prob because the turbo inlet came with a new one and it's junk. The inlet casing is machined really nicely but I guess they saved some penny's with the diaphragm. Cheers

Its pretty easy to check, just remove the 3 bolts that hold the dump valve.
I actually sowed mine up and added some rubber solution (more as a check to see the problem was solved). Worked fine before I got the turbo reconditioner (who had caused the problem) to replace it. |

Are you getting vaccum at the manifold nipple and/or at the turbo end of the pipe?
Is it definately stalling only after boost, like after accelerating hard? |

Stupid me!!! Top tip don't fit a cone filter it's a bad idea as per the rest of the internet.
