Default Strange noise

I have only had my xc90 a couple of weeks and have not had much time to use it but I have noticed a rumbling noise between 30-50 and no none at 70.
I am trying to work out if its a wheel bearing or road noise 19" rims 50 profile tyres.

Smile Take it on a windy road

Hi, an easy way to check the wheel bearings is drive it on a windy road at a speed where you can hear it, the noise should get louder when you lean to one side and weight it up, and quieter when you lean to the other and take weight of it.
Hope that helps.
Ian

Could also be tyres - especially budget varieties.

Defo wheel bearing
Done as suggested and I would say rear n/s as light droning gets louder when that side loaded
just need to sort out wheel bearing
are they the same 02-15 or did they change through the years
cheers

Default Need to check who me details

Hi Not sure on which bearing or if all the same. Best to see if you can get a part number from VIDA or the dealer for your car.
I have had mine replaced three times.
First at 80k, replaced with a good quality OEM by my local general garage. (£50 labour &#128515
Second at 90k replaced with a genuine Volvo part,
Third at 155k, thought it would be the OEM that would fail first but it was the Volvo one.
(Bit I did have a sticking and overheating calliper so that may have done for it.)
I think there was about £50 difference between the good quality OEM and the Volvo one.
Both were pricey around the £170 - £200 mark.
Loads of cheap ones about but with 2.5 tonnes I think not.
Good luck
