Respray
My 2001 S60 has now completed 90,000 fault free miles, but the bodywork is starting to look a little dull, chipped, scratched, as well as suffering from some unsightly blotches from DIY touch-ups, so I'm thinking of giving her a treat, ie a full respray. Any idea of how much I should be lokking at paying for this, & is it really worth it?
Thanks! |

I would seriously use the money (£1500min for a spray job) to upgrade for a newer car.

I've used "chips away" My guy did a good job. Ask for some recent references. Are they contracted to a dealer etc.

Have you ever thought of getting your car professionally detailed? This costs about £300 and will transform your car especially if the paint is just dull.

Fair point but bearing in mind that used S60's don't fetch much (offered £3250 for my 51 plate 2.0t SE as a PX last week) it may be prudent to go for a respray if you're keeping the car for another few years.
