Default HELP! Info Required - MY 2006 C70

Hi All
A bit of info. needed. Reference the weather seal that rises between the windows, and is attached to the rear window. Could someone let me know the correct description or part number, approximate cost to replace? All help will be appreciated.

Default Help Info Required - MY2006 C70

Hi All
Not a lot of luck with my original enquiry, or would it be that the weather strip I'm asking about is only supplied with a rear side window attached?

Hi Fred,

Sorry my Vida laptop has died so can't confirm, but I'm 99% sure the strip is bonded to the rear window so you need a new window just to replace the seal. Bummer!

Hi zapcity 1
Thanks for confirming what I suspected. There is glass on ebay but some have the strip on an some don't, so slightly confusing. I'll get through this winter ok but I'll have to look for solutions through next summer.

Hi zapcity 1
Thanks for the post, if truth be told it will involve using second hand from a breakers, comparing/converting dollars to GBP, $283.96 = £220.40 at todays rates. There's not much wind noise yet or much water ingress, and I can turn the radio up.
Regards
Fred

Yes. New parts prices are just mad. Thankfully plenty of C70s in breakers. Guess they are at such a low value now that any damage and they get scrapped.

Karl Sabin is breaking a C70 on the facebook 'Volvo C70 MK2 Owners' page if you need any bits.

My drivers side rear window rattles annoyingly until I drop it about 5mm. Have tried to fix unsuccessfully as rear window access is a right faff!!

Hi Again
Fortunately I don't do Facebook, or any other media sites, anti-social media I call it. This is about as close as I get, that's because it's generally helpful.
Regards
Fred
