Default Reusing XC90 MY16 D5 19 inch winter wheels on new MY21 T8

Hi folks - need some advice on winter wheels...

Yesterday we made the decision to trade-in our existing MY16 D5 XC90 for a brand new MY21 T8 XC90 (got a great deal at a Volvo event in Tonbridge)

I have a current set of 19 inch winter wheels (10 spoke turbine) that I bought from Volvo with the D5. They've served us well in trips to the alps and still have a reasonable amount of rubber on the tyres

I was hoping to be able to reuse them on the new car as the two cars seem to have the same bolt/offset etc specs, however doing some searches online suggests that the wheels were not compatible with the T8 back then.

Would be grateful for any knowledge to confirm that they definitely wouldn't work (and what would you do here - buy just rims or a full set of winter wheels, sell the old ones on ebay?)

Almost certainly won't fit. Not due to offset or stud pattern but due to clearance on the front disks. I have also heard it said that the 10 spoke wheels also don't have the weight rating for T8.

T8 front disks are very big....

The attached might help. Taken from the 2016-2017 Winter Wheels brochure, it implies they are not compatible.

thanks @Lexman8 - very helpful.

Looks like I'll be needing to buy a replacement set

Don't suppose you know where I can get an up to date version of that price list? (I clearly don't trust the dealer...)

Page 709 of the online owners manual lists the approved tyre pressures:

235/55/ R19 seems to be allowed since there are tyre pressures listed for this size.

Yes the size is allowed. The issue is clearance of the brake disks on certain wheel styles.

I have a T8 and have 2 sets of 19inch 6 spoke wheels. One set for summers and one set for winters.

That page was from a pdf that I downloaded at the time. Not sure there'll be a more up-to-date one (Volvo's website leaves much to be desired).

Anyway, these links should help:

essentially £60k with climate, lounge, carplay, towbar, 5 year servicing and all the protection covers, with 50% on a 0% finance over 3 years
