Default REDLINE RUMBLE - SANTA POD!!

Greetings Everyone!!

Arrangements for the Redline Rumble follow.

At the moment the following people have confirmed that they are going to bring a car, and possibly more humans.....

Me
Adrian Lawrence
Simon Linton
Alex Zoutsos
Jim Ashton
Mark A Sovreign
Don Norchi
Adam Kay

Anyone else who wants to come along is very welcome. The more the merrier!

We can only pay on the gate, and to get a club discount, we have to arrive together in convoy fashion, so I am gonna suggest that we meet up at Jim Ashton's house which is about 20 minutes from the track. from 9.00am, departing at 9.30am to head for the track - in a massive volvo style game of follow my leader!

The directions to Jims house are in the email, but not posted here, so if you need directions, email me.

The raceway is situated near the villages of Hinwick and Podington, which lie approximately two miles due east of the A509 carriageway. Throughout the racing season there are directional signs permanently erected, so it should not be a problem to get there, and Jim knows where it is anyway!!

I look forward to seeing all those coming, as well as anyone who wants to add themselves to the list. My mobile will be on - if you need directions or any other contact details on the day 07771 533664.

With Best Regards,

Phil :-)

No...lots of rain, so spinning through first & some of second!!

I managed a 15.6?? at 95mph and I think the others were about 16.5 at 85mph, that was with exhaust, free flow filter, wastegate and bleed valve.

The M3s were only running about 14.4 cos it was so slippery.

And as we were leaving....the sun broke out :(

More next time!!!!

I finally got to watch the video.......I did 16.04 @ 89.6 with an almost shut bleed valve.

So, whilst waiting for the next run I opened up the bleed and then the heavens opened :( and we were rained off.

Next time I'll start as I mean to go on !!!!!

Good to meet you all again !! See you at the next one? Theres one on the 26th of May and again on the 16th June (Street Racer Sunday I believe)

It was good to knock the smile of the face of the guy with the over sized turbo'd Cossie I beat }>

Same here Jim, I did my first run with the bleed valve only on less than 1/4 turn, whilst waiting behind you in the queue I opened it up to a full turn, then...rain!

I won't be making either of the 2 coming up as I'm going on the Prodrive visit in early June (have to keep the piggy bank full!)

Well I had to be different and take the M3 :)

Alex is right the track was rather wet and after we run they closed the track.

In better conditions the cars would of been quicker.

I though there was a great turnout and It's certainly given me idea's on my next project.

NOS the M3 or copy Don and start playing around with the S70 T5 in my driveway...

hmmmmmm

Unfortunately there were only 10? places available for the tour, which was announced earlier this year on the performance forum. It was a first-come, first-served type of thing.

The list of people going is/was:

Phil Wright
Simon Linton
Sian & Sean
Gareth Long
Simon Marsh
Alex Zoutsos
Richard Barsby
Don Norchi
Leigh Davenport
