Decals
I'm looking for anyone who knows whereabouts i might be able to get some decals for my V40. The car is only a bog standard 1.8i, but i have added some crater alloys, spolier etc. as the first stage of 'upgrading'.
The only problem is the colour - dull navy blue. (..it was cheap ok!) Besides a damn good polish i have been considering maybe trying to get hold of some tasteful stick-on decals (silver / graphite kinda thing) to put on below the door bumper strips to cheer things up a bit. I'm sure that i have seen this kind of thing on early promo launch models. So does anyone know where i might go looking? I have already tried getting a set of 'Animal' decals as used on the new Mitsubishi LT pickup, but they wont sell me anything unless i own one... the only other thing i can think of is cutting down a set of discovery decals. Bright ideas gtatefully recieved :7 Chris stannerz23@hotmail.com |

RE: Decals
Chris,
Talk to NC Signs in Bude. They can be contacted on 01288 355503. I have their custom TWR logos for my T5R and they can make anything to order that you want, in any colour - you just supply them with artwork and they send you stickers! Regards, Phil :-)

RE: Decals
Hi Chris,
Try the yellow pages for those who do vinyl signwriting and lettering. If you are lucky you will find someone who does graphics for rally / race cars in your area and those are the types you want. We have a small firm 10 miles from me who do mainly vans etc. but they love doing something different and they are cheap. I am sure with a bit of looking you will find one local to you. If so talk nicely to them and ask to see what designs they have on their computer as all this soet of work is laser cut now and very accurate. Good luck and I hope you can find something stunning.

RE: Decals
Thanks for your advice and help guys! Hopefully i can get the blue tank looking reasonable! The grand plan is to move up to something a little more zippy, but finances after 5 years at uni are somewhat restricting just at the moment! Part time work as a construction engineer doesn't go to well with expensive cars either - doh!
Still.. final exams next week.. i should be revising! Chris:-) |
