Default Which Spark Plugs ?

Hi

What are the best (and available) spark plugs for a standard 1996 T5 manual estate, driven like a baby carrage!

Thanks

Don at Kalmar Union (www.kalmar-union.com) supplies Bosch silver spark plugs which are supposed to be very good: about £30 plus delivery. The alternatives are NGK PFR6B (very expensive, can be ordered from Halfords) or go to www.eurocarparts.com and search for your car.

Basically any major-manufacturer spark plug with the correct grade and ratings will be fine, there's no difference in performance with any of 'em.

Jer

Robert,
Long ago I got same advice from two different sources. Surprisingly, the hi - pressure Turbos like standard plugs better than the jewelry - priced platinums ! My 850 Turbo with TME ecu and exhaust, now has 125,000 trouble - free miles. Using Bosch FR7DC plugs.

I have got to agree with these guys.

Any properly set-up turbo engine will require only the slightest spark to ignite what should be a perfect fuel/air mixture at the perfect temperature and pressure.

Spend your modding cash on something other than super-duper spark plugs!

Regards,

Phil :-)
