ECU upgrades:Steffanson aka Superchip V TME V
Following my suggestion of arranging for a rolling road run-off for the various proponents and apologists for the various ECU sofware rewrites offered by many tuners, I have spoken to Power Engineering in Uxbridge who have offered rolling road runs at £35 per car if we can present more than 10 vehicles on a Saturday morning. I will supply tea & cakes. They have 2 & 4wd machines: dont forget only manual trans will get good figures.
Any takers?

Hi Don
I'm up for it on Saturday 29th June as this is the only Saturday morning I'm not working next month. Is this date agreeable? Anyone else interested? |

I spoke to Power Engineering about this - and they can accomodate Autos. I dont pretend to understand the explanation I got for how they make it work - but they seem to think that they can get reasonabley accurate results.
I'm up for the 29th too! Phil :-)

Just a thought on this -- if it goes ahead, it could be worth tipping off one of the car mags (Redline, C&CC etc) to come down and do an article with pics.
I don't think I've ever seen an article on tuning Volvos, so could be a good grin. I'm willing to talk to the magazines and see if they are up for it -- what do you all think? |

Can I be the odd ball again or is it only a T5 event :)

Forgive my ignorance, but where is Uxbridge? I have heard the name but would have no idea as to which direction to drive in. :-)
What time of the day would this kick off? The tea and cakes sounds nice, if not for anything more than keeping the missus happy!!! ;-) Cheers, Dan. |

Dan, it's west of London, around the M40 / M4 / M25 interchange.
