Default Is my A/C Possessed???

Strange thing happened today, I was walking passt my parked MY10 Active and noticed a noise. Upon investigation I found that the air conditioning and fans were running.

The car was locked and had been standing for approx 1hr since returning home. I opened it up and there were no lights on the dash or A/C display, but there was cool air being supplied. I turned the ignition on and off again and it all shut down.

I'm a bit concerned! Unless this is some very clever self cooling function that I don't know about, I think there may be a gremlin in the works.

Anybody had anything similar?

I had this 2 weeks ago when on Holiday in France, really hot day. Also like you turned the key on and off and it then shut down. Hasn't happened since but very strange non the less.

Not strange if you read the handbook you'll find that the aircon and fans will come on for up to an hour after the car has been stopped to try and keep it cool .

nothing to do with heat ...... just the air quality. My experience was twice. It ran the day after car was last turn off.

there is a problem if it ran a full 24 hours after turning off,the interior fan will run dependant on temp/running time of the car/battery voltage etc, usually after 1 hour if all parameters are met to start the fan it will run for approx 15 minutes

I don't believe mine ran for hours.

I was actually in the garage half hour before that. Nothing was running. When I return to the garage again later, found it was running, and I stopped it.

Similarly a couple of month previously, found the fan running and let it ran until it stopped by itself. I was washing my other car next to it 3 hours earlier and nothing was running then.

So far, no problem with flat batteries.
