Default intermittent parking assist

just spent yesterday removing rear bumper and to get to the parking sensors as only 2 of them appeared to be working, along with an intermittent parking assist service required message.i gave them a good cleaned and tried swopping them around just to see, the fault stayed in the same place so im guessing its either the loom or the parking sensor control box. before i spend £80 on a new control box has anybody experienced the same problem

This is a very common fault on the XC90 and I'm surprised it hasn't been subject to a recall. I had it on mine and it was the wiring loom which is nearly always the case, but get the codes read with VIDA to be sure.
