2008 S40 SE AUX not detected

Hi all,

Hoping someone can help. Just picked up a 2008 S40, so far very happy with it. It has an aux port in the compartment behind the handbrake, but I can't get it to select it?

Usual procedure would be to press mode and it'll give the option between aux and CD. however, pressing mode only takes me to CD player. Any ideas? I've check the connection behind the aux port and all seems to be connected.

Strange. Can you post a photo of the aux port?

Exactly like this but without the USB (I'm away from my car until tomorrow). It's on a part that can be removed to reveal some cabling. I did take it off quickly and all seemed to be plugged in.

You could try disconnecting the car battery and reconnecting it again after 5minutes to see if if a hard reset cures your issue.

If it looks like that it looks legit. The reason I asked was to see if it looked legitimate or if someone had fitted something aftermarket.
