Cleaning the intakes from soot
Hi guys,
I just had a oil leak on the intake manifold of my c30 2.0d. So decided to take it off and see what was going on. The rubbers were destroyed a bit which explained the leak. But I noticed a lot (a lot!!) of soot in the air intakes. I can clean the intake manifold but am more concerned on how to clean the inlets on the engine itself.. Anyone any experience/suggestions on how to do this properly? I'm a bit afraid of soot falling in the inlets and don't know if this might be dangerous for the engine.. I'm also wondering if the valves themselves would be fully of soot as well and how to deal with this. Cheers, Hans |
