Trip Computer, is it an option?
Hi All
I have just got a S40 2008, I was wondering if the trip computer (mpg, avg speed etc) is an optional extra and my car doesnt have it or am I doing something wrong? I have used the scroll wheel on the stalk but only have a couple options. |

AFAIK it was an optional extra on S and RDesign trims, while standard on SE and above.
Edit: You can probably get it 'activated' at a dealer for some unreasonable sum of money.

agreed with above - it was an extra option on some models and yes, it is possible to activate it at dealership for $$$. On pre-FL models you had to purchase a stalk with scroll wheel aswell, but on FL models its only matter of software addon. No clue how much, but I am guessing 3figure sum, knowing Volvo... :/

Local stealership quoted me £380 and didn't bat an eyelid when I gasped at the price.
You can live without it - juts get the Fuel Monitor app on your smart phone.
