So, from a Three/card perspective, 12GB is 12,288mb, which is 12,582,912Kb or 264,490,201,684,901,000 Bytes

So if Sensus is measuring in Base 10, 12.687GB used is in fact 12.099GB - so whatever way they are measuring - you're up in the deal!

So I suspect there are rounding issues/errors - Three are quite accurate, and Sensus are probably rounding up on each packet transfer, so the "reporting" is a little inaccurate.

Either way, I expect you'll dry up soonish... unless you DO have a 24GB card...!

The Three data sim seems to be the best bargain around now however I hate how Three throttles the bandwidth. Reception and speeds no match for O2.

P/S: Three used to do a 20GB over 2 year deal for about £20.

I've just received an EE data SIM from MyMemory. I've installed it in the slot under the boot floor in my new (to me) V90 but am unable to connect.

Does the SIM need to be activated in anyway or should it just work "out of the box"?

I have activated the In-Car Modem, it sees the EE SIM and has pre-populated the APN settings. However once it is enabled the car reports "no internet connection" and I'm unable to get anything on my phone via the wifi hotspot.

I can see up to 5 bars showing next to the SIM icon on the main screen so coverage looks ok.

Suggestions/experiences would be welcome!

Is EE a virtual network operating on another carriers infrastructure? If so try enabling the Data Roaming check box.

The SIMs are ready to use. If you want to register it on Three website, so that you can track the remaining allowance, I suggest you put the SIM in a phone first, as Three sends a code as part of registration. Once registered, you can start using the SIM in the car.
