Default Wheel fitment

I have a set of 17" sculptors on my v50d, but hit a pothole on Friday evening, a couple of miles from home, that resulted in the tyre being pretty much flat when I got home.
I've taken the wheel off today and the inside of the rim is fubared.

Do any Volvo wheels with 5x108 stud pattern fit, or am I limited to V50/S40/C30/C70 wheels, and do focus wheels bolt straight on?

I think V70 et al are same pcd, but centre bore looks bigger to my eye.

I phoned Volvo, don't really want to spend £429 on one wheel, when I could probably get a couple of sets, with tyres second hand for that, and a scruffy spare sculptor thrown in to boot.

Companies that deal with alloy repair/refurb may quote you reasonable price for it to be done. They can fix buckled/chipped wheels and paint it if needed. Had 2 of my alloys (buckled and egged) fixed that way, looks and drives like new afterwards. apx 80e per wheel (inc painting), they often offer replacement wheels to keep you running.

[EDIT] and yes, Focus wheels from the same era are exact fit. Was driving on set of 16' steels off focus when mine was being repaired

Where did you refurb your alloys in Dublin? Two of them are corroded, not buckled. I want them repainted properly.

Google maps : Rim Solutions Wheel Refurbishment, in Parkwest. Great job and good price, well recommended!

Have a look on e-bay - there are a few seller which offer refurbished alloy wheels either as sets or singles at reasonable prices. Some are exchange but they may still take your old wheel if they can repair it.

This is a single wheel that's an outright purchase (not exchange) - I have bought from this seller before and been pleased:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/0338-Volv...32EF:rk:4:pf:0

With regard to other models, wheels from the P3 V70, Mk 2 S80 & S60, XC60 will bolt straight on but are likely to have different offsets. Focus, C-Max, Mundano etc. wheels will also fit but Ford wheels on a Volvo look sh*t I think.

Thanks for the link, didn't come up in my search results.
That's more reasonable. Think Volvo are taking the **** personally, it's a glorified focus at the end of the day but a ford alloy can be had for £200 or less, but was more thinking poverty spec MK2 facelift focus steels would look ok, maybe sprayed silver, and be stronger than alloys. They are a five spoke and look like an alloy, rather than the generic steel wheel look.

Hopefully a happy eBay result.
Have won a set of S40 16" ceryx (5 spoke design not too dissimilar to sculptors) £160 the set with tyres 5mm tread. Look to be in very good condition, with just a couple of nicks of paint on one or two of the wheels.

I had ordered a couple of ditch finders, that would of cost £120 anyway, and not a fan of budget tyres. The two I ordered would have been tyres number 23/24 to go on my car since I've had it, 5 years and 70,000mls.
That ecuates to a tyre less than 3,000mls, and with the mot due next month thought I'd whack them on the back for the time being.

The upshot is I'll now have a set of winter wheels, with a slightly bigger sidewall to cushion the potholes (part of the reason I've gone through a lot of tyres).
Another positive, I can't believe the price difference in tyres for this size. For the price of the cheapest tyres my local supplier can fit, I can now have pirelli, Goodyear, Dunlop, Yokohama, conti's etc from Asda!. Yes Asda. That is supplied and fitted at one of their approved garages.

I will see if my damaged rim can be repaired, or find a spare replacement in the time being.

Thanks, presume you mean mk1 C70 based on s/V70 and not the latter based on S40/V50?

As above have now sourced a set of S40 wheels.

The replacement wheels turned up today, must say I'm well pleased with them. All wheels pretty much spotless, a couple of small paint chips on one or two, but no kerb marks, and tyres all have plenty of tread, £40 per wheel and tyre delivered.

Only cheapo tyres but will get through the mot then I can source some decent new ones.

On a negative note, the tyre place I use, and have done for the last 20 years for all my cars and bikes, are likely to lose my custom. They have really gone downhill in my opinion. Last January I ordered new tyres for the back, and they put 225's on instead of the 205's I ordered. Caused havoc with my traction control, but they apologised and replaced them with the correct size.

However, this is the first time I've taken the wheels off since they changed the tyres, and it appears they have gone overboard with the buzz gun, doing the nuts up far too tight, and have destroyed the nuts, making getting them off earlier today more difficult than it should have been. Now need to replace these!
