Question 960 2.5i anything to watch out for?

After taking the advice of more experienced VOC members about which estate I need for towing I have located a P reg 960 2.5i manual at a dealers .It has clocked 120,000 miles and appears to be in very good condition with service history. It must be about top spec and is very posh indeed (but it hasn't got a tow ball) .The asking price is around £2,400.Do you think it's a reasonable price ? and are there any problems with this model I should watch out for.Thankyou for any info.

Default 960 2.5i for towing

Looks a good price if it is in good condition.
These cars will never be cheap to run - but think how much car you are getting for your money and it could go on for ever.
Personally I find the 3l Auto fantastic for towing - at around 1400kg the caravan doesn't cause the autobox too much trouble - lock-up in top still happens in top gear, so cruise at about 56 mph (synchronized with most big lorries so no need to change lanes) with just over 2000 rpm.

Buy it and smile.

GREAT car

Only thing I'd say is don't get one if you don't like the idea of high repair bills. (£700 for the hand brake cable and £600 for the Air con compressor)
