Default Cellulose paint for 144

Any one know where I could source a litre of cellulose.. Colour 46 (cherry red) for 144S?
I know alternatives are used now but the o/s front wing has just been sprayed with an existing tin of same and perfect finish. I have not quite enough to finish the n/s after some repairs..thought I would use what I had for the final coats hence the need for the same paint.
Thanks in advance

Morning.

Far as I know you will find it hard to source cellulose paint; you will have a slightly better chance of finding 'cellulose equivalent' paint. This is strictly not celly, but it is thinned with celly thinners. All I can suggest is that you ask the motor factors; when finding paint for my dark blue (colour 96) 144 the first factors I asked put me on to my eventual suppliers. It is unlikely that they would be much use to you, mind, as they are in Carmarthen, West Wales.

Good luck with the search, and happy times with the 144, regards, Nick.

Thanks Nick..I appreciate the reply.
I had made enquiries up here and yes I have been offered a celly equivalent..the trade call it 1k acrylic and I`ve been told that if its thinned with celly thinners and allowed to cure properly in warm dry garage it should take a couple of top coats of the original cellulose that I have which as said is a spot on match.
My worry is about any possible reaction although as any reaction is I believe the solvent used in the paint I would assume if it is ok to thin with celly thinners and the previous coats are cured it hopefully will be ok..!
Would I still thin 50/50?..and I trust that proper cellulose thinners are to be used not the nitro-cell stuff which seems to have different properties..I tried leaving a little in a jar and it had not evaporated in the morning unlike the original thinners so that tells you something I suppose.
Thanks again

btw the car is on the Volvo club register..a `73 144S updated dash with small bumpers..immaculate apart from the usual problems round the front wings and indicators, now being addressed. In the family from new and under 50k on clock.
