I actually wondered whether there would be two spotted because my Mrs. was coming into Leigh soon after me same route in her 240 and your paths could have crossed seeing the direction you were turning.
Haha, that's amazing.

I had seen a forum member had Leigh in their sig so I thought there was a fair chance. Plus your motor looked in very nice condition so had to be an enthusiast really.

I had paid a visit to the bodyshop I recommended to you to pick up a couple of bits of trim they had mislaid and got talking to them for an hour or so.

Anyway, nice alloys on your car I think in the brief second I spotted it - what are they?

Should add - I parked up at the pie shop opposite and got some provisions so I must have missed your Mrs heading the other way!

Can't remember the exact alloy spec but they are original Volvo ( Volvo stamped rims ).
Original to a 240 Tors I think.

Ebay, a few years ago, for about £40 - £50 with reasonable tyres.

Good pie shop that.
We know them and same surname but not related.

Given the location of the spot and your msg to me Re St Hellens RD I'd probably have stopped for a chat had I not been on my way to work.

Indeed. Have been to that pie shop before but they were a bit depleted on Friday as it was about 1.30pm.

Don't regularly get to this part of town normally but I only live about 15-20 miles away so if you want to meet up for a pie and a chat/moan about all things 240 let me know.

Maybe we could arrange a 200 series get together over summer, see how many other owners are in the area!

Sounds good to me and SFSS... Assuming that the insurers don't steal SFSS, that is.

During the past 2 years I have organised two of the three meets at Pennington flash and expect to be organising one later this year once the weather gets warmer.
Don't want to get off topic any further with this thread though so that will be a new thread.

I was in Salisbury yesterday and to my amazment saw a 240 silver taxi going towards the racecourse.

I think it was D reg. and of course in good condition as it has to go through the taxi MOT, which is tough.
