Default Sealey/Autel OBD Code Reader

Does anybody have one of the sealey imported autel code readers?
I'm tempted to get one to check why my service light is on but as my V40 is a diesel albeit an 04, I want to be 100% sure I'm not wasting my money.
I'm not interested in any of the autel scanners bought on ebay or amazon as the majority of them are fake so if they don't work its not really telling you anything!

Temped to get one anyway as for £80 you've got a tool that will work with most modern cars vs a code read at the garage which is about £40 a go but their snap on gear does cover older cars and modules other than the engine.

There is also a more basic one for ~£50.

The service light can be set to go off on three triggers - miles, calendar time or engine hours, sounds like yours may be set to go off on time. You would need VIDA to find out.

Can't help much on the code readers, I believe the Autel that's around £200 works on the diesel though. I'm sure someone did post fairly recently about it so try a search for AutelMD.

I had the Autel MD801 and it did what I needed.
Cost me £125 from eBay and I sold it for £100 a year later.
I offered it on here but no interest.
I use a Bluetooth dongle now for less than a tenner and it does more (or at least more of what I need) than the Autel.
It's possible it was a copy but it worked fine and that's the main thing.
Most Dice in use are copies too.
