Default water in spare wheel well

Hi all

Im in desperate need of help, I cannot find where my boot is leaking or anywhere on the car for that matter.

Ive removed rear seats completly , cleaned well out on saturday and today found 1/2inch water in wheel well.

Checked boot seal, seems dry along inside / all nut screws and bolts seems secure - felt all foam and insulation behind metal parts in boot/rear lights etc is dry

Roof lining is dry.

Gutted at the moment as spent many hours on the car and its becoming a mint example, this is the only major thing holding it back.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

I had same trouble with mine last year and it turned out to be the foam seal around the rear light cluster. The light unit itself had a lot of water in it . I removed the light, cleaned everything up and refitted with a good seal of silicone and all has been well since. Dave.

Have you checked behind the light panel on the tailgate? Water runs off the rear screen, behind the plastic panel & into the wheel well. Well it did on mine.

I would remove all the boot liner trim, then put rolled up newspaper or similar around the top of the wheel well, secure it in places with something like duct tape. See where it gets wet.
