I take it the compressor is toast then (You had another thread posted in relation to this too)?

Shipping is usually free on purchases over £140, but there's a charge for oversize items. I don't think the air con compressor would be classed as being oversize, but just bare in mind that their may be a charge for postage due to the weight of it.

That explains your snapped a/c belt then.
Out of curiosity, why were the pulleys still spinning if there was no belt attached? Was it because the clutch was gone in the compressor, which effectively meant there was nothing to stop them from spinning, eventhough the air con wasn't on inside the car.
