Default Reversing camera

I've been looking at reversing cameras and wondered if one could be wired into the integral SatNav screen the car already has.

I have been looking at the above link but I can't find prices or methods of ordering. I've asked a Volvo place near me and, including VAT, he's asking £751 68 for the camera, plus £20.91 for the software and £270.00 for fitting. A total of £1042.59. I need to lower that price if I'm going to proceed.

Not surprised when you look at the work involved, the dismantling and reassembling and the fact that the parts are rarely issued Volvo exclusive and their cost has to be cover red by all those needing to make a living out of servicing Volvos.

Agreed, the labour charge is very reasonable, as is the software price. It was the price of the unit that amazes me.

Could be they transfer some of the labor cost to the unit, to make it look like their work is cheaper.
When Volvo installed my camera back in 2011, the cost was around SEK 10000, all inclusive.
