D5 twin turbo
My dealer lent me the above today , my car is due in 4 weeks. Had only driven the D3 before.
My only concern, getting points on my licence, pulls like a steam train! As my last car was only 120 bhp diesel, is there a speed alert setting on the XC60? |

I had a clean licence for many years and within 5 days of getting my XC60 last year I had 3 points from a local speed camera that I completely forgot about because I was enjoying driving again.
I was look for any excuse to get into the car and go for a spin, luckily after 12 months I have calmed down (well, at least a little bit) Managed to avoid any more points also! |

It is rapid and just keeps pulling. I've got the manual D5 and have to say its much quicker than than I thought it would be and very easy to shot through the speed limit as its quiet and refined.
No seed limiter or warning or at least not found one yet! Is the loan car a manual or auto?

A manual se lux, same as my car on order, looks like I will just have to be careful!

I use the cruise control frequently to keep to the speed limit. If I relied on "feel" I would have lost all the points and my licence.
But I love the journey getting up to the speed limit. Why would anybody want to tinker with this to get even more power? (other thread re remap chip)

you'll slow down after your first ticket
and you'll get used to the performance pretty quick. My fettled T5 doesn't feel anything but normal nowadays now that I'm used to it. |

It does feel like a caged beast just waiting to get out for a good run.
I adhere to speed limits, as best as I can anyway (I have to given my job) and then when the national speed limit comes I watch the car behind just disapear (I am a child)
