Time for winter wheels
2011 XC60D3 FWD Geartronic
Got a note from my dealer reminding me about changing to winter wheels. The wheels on the car are Zerphyrus 18" and the winter wheels are Segin 17" Will I notice the difference. One more thing have to the Manual out to check how the heater system works.Where I live heated seats are a must. |

From 18 to 17
The circumference of the tyres will be the same, no difference there. The difference between 17 and 18 isn´t that big, but of course there is more rubber in the 17 tyres. therefore, they will be more comfortable, and absorb bumpy roads better. This in adition to the higher comfort of the softer rubber in winter- compared to summer tyres in general. On the other hand, this works against handeling, and you will perhaps experience the car as a bit moe "wobly". Neverttheless, in everyday use you won´t notice much difference.
