Default Winter tyre rolling direction?

It's time to change over to winter tyres on my 2010 XC60. However I can't find any directional arrows on the original brand new winter tyres (BF Goodrich Winter Slalom) that followed the car. To me, it seems like the rubber pattern is not symetrical so I am afraid to mount them the wrong way around. Any help would be greatly appricated.

It's me again Here is a picture of the tyre, it looks like it is designed to drain water in a specific direction so somehow it should also roll in a specific direction? Hmm..

The tyre is symmetrical through the centre line; that and the lack of (normally VERY obvious) arrows indicates that they are bi-directional.
