Tinted my side windows. I needed something to cut a little the hot summer sun on my neck - the original Volvo tint is not dark enough. Have to say, I postponed this job for 4 years because I was reading on internet how hard is to do it. Well, it is actually not that hard and certainly doable - was the first time I did this. Sure I did a few mistakes but not that bad. In the process, I removed the door panels and replaced the trim insert with aluminum ones - now the interior is as light as it gets - tan with aluminum inserts.

Fitted an Aux input to the external CD changer port on the head unit and the popped a bluetooth adapter in that so it's all completely hidden.

Next up is a wireless charging mat for the plastic insert in the armrest and we will be up to modern standards!

Picked up my S60 2005 2.0T, 56k 1 owner car, via salvage auction and no history and only one key with it but looks in good enough order, drives well and can't complain at sub 500 quid, when only needs a wing replaced.

First on the list is to do the timing belt! after that needs pcv, serviced etc but should do the daily duties well and much nicer than the current vectra

Replaced the air con cabin filter, so dirty I doubt whether it had ever been changed.

Changed the air filter too.....the air intake tube and the area below the filter were partially blocked with dry beech leaves and beech nuts husks!
The element itself was black, but given the T5 was used around town before I bought it I rather suspect the black was diesel soot.

Plugs and oil change tomorrow if the weather holds off long enough. Then the delights of a full all round brake pad, shoe and fluid change.

I have some T5 injectors, a couple of new cylinder-type air filters still in box, MAF and air filter box and numerous other things for a T5 - aircon compressor, ABS module, fog lights, Orpheus alloys x 5 with tyres, space saver spare wheel

The thing I need is the clip for one of the air vents that is broken off that gives directional air flow - one has snapped off and cannot find one anywhere - only a bit of plastic

Bought a DCD776 DeWalt Drill and 885 Impact Driver to replace the fuel flap thing as my cordless drill gave up the ghost.

The part was cheap. Replacing it became expensive but I have 'A Drill Set For Life'

4 off Michelin Primacy 4s and a Hunter Geo Bay session and I'm £433 lighter.

(What annoys me more than anything is that I've just bought a fitting machine, balancer and geo bay for work, but if I don't allow anyone else to use it, I can hardly use it myself. Paying someone to do the job nearly as well as I can do myself hurts.....)

Orpheus are a great upgrade from the standard alloys.

I quite like my Orestes but they need a refurb so I'm looking for another set as a spare for best and keep mine for my Winters.
