Question

Try the key the old fashion way??

This is a pic of the parts involved (Not sure if it's the same as it's for a V40 lock):

he's tried the key in the lock a few times. It sticks but does sort of move.

How can I get into the boot if the lock is jammed?

Easy with a V40, but interesting with an S40

Try a few good shots of WD40 or similar next.

Thumbs up

It might be in the 'valet' position.

WD-40 in the lock to free it off, first.

Turn the key 180 degrees and push the button - it should now open.

OK, found the problem.

No 6 was broken in the schematic diagram you posted.

I've set up a temporary boot release using para cord until I can order the parts.
