Default xc70 height sensor

2006 xc70 d5 with 4cs.
Offside rear is not where it was supposed to be, rivet has snapped, it has been dangling for a while.
A mate put his Vida on the car and found the fault code and location.
Due to the dangling two of the wires into the connector block have broken.
No way was the block coming out of the sensor, access is bloody fiddly, i snipped the last wire and got the sensor out, it’s knackered, both areas where the screws hold it to the frame are completely split wide, I think because the screws and inserts reacted.
I sourced a good used one, then had great fun getting at the wiring, managed to reach it, cleaned up the 3 wires and added connectors, found a land rover connector fitted, added that with extended wires, got it back through the subframe to where it needs to be.
With a bit of a faff I drilled out the old rivet insert, thank god for dremmel flex extensions.
That is as far as I have got.
Don’t know yet how I am going to fix the sensor frame back to subframe, or how I will tap the remains of the hole, everything is in the way.
Anyone done this or have any suggestions 🤞🤞
