you'll never belive it , now the battery's gone flat went to start it to move it and the starter solenoid is just clicking away , if i had enough hair i'd of pulled it out by now

I dont belive it just went to start it up and now the battery is flat,just get the starter solenoid clicking away,good job i've not got much hair would of pulled it out by now !!
And the guy a bought it off just rang me to say he was posting the spare key he found ,i told him about the problem he said that happened to him once i just need to keep the petrol above a quarter and it will be fine.will still fit the new pump when it comes though! lesson learned !? :-) |

have read that some models have a tendancy to work the fuel pump hard and keeping at least 1/4 tank in at all time will keep it cool
|

Hey guys, have fitted the new pump(retaining ring was a pig to get off) only took 45 mins and a cut finger,put some petrol init (3 quarters full) took it for a blast now runs like a dream will change fuel filter next week to make sure no more crud in the system,

Glad to hear it worked out...
It'll be interesting to see what happens when you get low on fuel but I'm sure the pump will have solved the problem.
