Default Armrest.

Hello.

Can anyone tell me if I can fit a armrest with cupholder (the whole tunnelbox) from the 2002 model into a 2000 model?

It's an S40 from 05/2000

Thanks in advance

If there both phase 2 cars then yeah you can, i wouldn't mind doing that as s40's don't have any cup holders otherwise, but apart from buying one i don't think i've a chance of find a second hand one as there as rare as rocking horse s**t in uk especially in beige,

Well...

Finnaly I found the time to fit the new armrest from the "classic" model to my 2000 (with the "old" tunnelbox)

I read on a Sweedish page that it should fit almost right over.. Hmm.. Thats not true, but it will fit with some adjustments (no big ones).

The handbreak is a little "tight", so I'll have to fine a way to adjust it so it will slide perfect.

Here is some pictures of the ph. 2 armrest fitted into a ph. 1 from 05/2000

I had to cut some holes in the console so I could screw it on to to the original holes. To mount it to the original (rear) holes I took a plate (like the once that comes with after market Xenon) and cut it so it would fit in the length.

To screw it on to the armrest I fitted some clips (the once that comes with speakers so you can screw them on to a plate) and screw them on as you can see in pic. 4720

As you can see doesn't the gear gathering from a ph.1 fit a ph. 2 armrest, so I'll have to get a new one.
