XC90 front handbrake cable

Since seeing everyone's posts lately about their handbrake cables snapping ours decided to follow suit! Although it's our front cable that looks a little more tougher to tackle?

Any help as in do's and don'ts? I was going to pull the cable right through and thought I might need it for the new cable as a guide?

Unfortunately those posts are for the two rear cables and not the front cable.... Thanks though 👌
