XC60 powered tailgate issue

On my 63 plate XC60 I'm having issues with the tailgate. When you press and hold the button to open it it just releases on the catch and doesn't go up. Then you have to press it again for it to raise up, and then it goes up very slowly and then also closes slowly. It's not all the time either, sometimes it will work fine.

Sounds like the struts are failing. Mine were the same when 5hey started to go.

You need to replace them both. About £250 each. Easy enough to replace them as ever 5here are videos on YouTube.

Yes agreed.... had mine replaced for the same reason in 2020 on my 2013 XC60

Mine has only ever did that once or twice and that was when the battery was very very low.
