Default Radio wiring in my new 460...with piccys...HELP!

Just bought this 1992 460 CD................................................ .......

............and the owner had fitted an other radio but took it out before the sale.He gave me the original but all the wiring has been cut removing all the old connectors!
The radio is this one................

Ive got two groups of wires leading to the radio.
First group consist of....
1 x Yellow/Black
1 x Yellow
1 x White
1 x white/Black

Second group....
1 x Brown/Grey
1 x Red/Brown
1 x Brown (Thicker wire than the rest)
1 x Red
1 x Black/White
1 x White
1 x Black/Yellow
1 x Yellow

I seem to have more wires than holes!!

Can anyone tell me what wire goes where.

How do I find out what the radio code is ??

First things first awesome looking car, Im looking for a 460 atm lol especially in black, so again very nice car and the wheels set it off nicely ( 17s? )

Right about your wiring when I got my 440 I couldnt find the radio code but was doin away with the old one anyways but I cut an snipped my wires ( only to see ISO connectors on ebay a month mater lol)

I would be more helpful being there to look at but judging by your location your a tad far lol

I will have a look at my old connectors and try an get a pic up to help you somehow configure mate

good luck

Very nice indeed. Ok well you can buy the special connecting blocks off ebay both the long strip connector pc2-16-4 for the power and the smaller twin blocks for each speaker. I'll dig out the the info for the colours but will require a little wire joining for the job easy done....

Hi, the two bunches of wires going to the radio... Are they linked to a standard iso that fitted the previous radio? Which may explain the more wires issue. Can you post up pics of that wiring bunch?

The code for the radio should be printed ontop of it, if not dont worry theres a site that sends the code for £7.50.

Also on the top of the radio there may be a wiring diagram to correspond for the powering spades at the rear..get a pic up of this too if you can if not dont worry.

Got it to work at last!!!
I cheated and went to my local breakers.
Found a volvo there which had the same radio and removed the connectors and wiring from the back, joined them up to mine and success !!

Thanks for all your help and ideas.
