Default Heater blower fan

Does anyone know an easy way to refit the blower motor/fan?, the problem is the thick rubber sound insulation in the foot well, it was a real struggle getting the old one out, but seems impossible to get past it to refit the unit.
Regards Dave

Use a sharpie and cut a large U in the insulating material - careful with your fingers - when finished, flip the material back in place. It's sound dampening material

Do you need to remove the whole facia panel as per haynes manual? Mines seems to make some noise already
