That is a good point about the thermostat. Better check that.
Thankyou

JDW3696. In my experience the fan will always appear to “on” as it is always revolving when the engine is running.

You are probably right. It just seemed to be going like the clappers when it really didn't need to be. I was going to replace it with an electric fan so will be on my to do list as that sounds like the way to go.
Firstly I need to get the injector o rings replaced and hope that sorts the lumpy idle and air leak. Narrowed it down to no 3 injector but will get all 4 done.

Easy check on the 'stat is if the temp gauge reaches halfway (and stays there) after about 5 minutes running and doesn't drop on the motorway.

Pretty sure it's fine. Never had any issues with the temp gauge and the heating. Works well. I know they can break at anytime but it's only two years old aswell.
I would be lost without this forum so thankyou once again.
Today's job is getting the electric sunroof operating how it should and seeing if I can find the right tools to change the injector o rings.
It looks okay until a press and clamp is needed to get the injectors out of the case I believe.
Might attempt it though.
