Hi all,
With the recent mention of Scooters' 960 with 370k on the clock, I started wondering what sort of moon-miles everyone else has racked up. Obviously these cars are notorious for being capable of covering intergalactic distances, so my question is... what's your record mileage?

My diesel 940 has now covered 282,000 and is still going strong...just needed leak-off pipes and a splash of welding to sail it through its last MOT. Prior to that, my highest was a 740 estate which was showing 190k but MOT records showed that the odometer hadn't registered any change in mileage since 2011, so who knows!

No galactic mileage here sorry.

Highest is my 940 on 189k
Then my 760 turbo on 122k
Then my 360 GL on 91k
Then my other 360 on circa 60k (odometer changed 22k miles ago at about 40k miles)

Mine is currently on 228k (nearly 229k) Phil, highest mileage Volvo i've owned. HIghest mileage vehicle i've owned was my Jeep Cherokee, 245678 miles on pick-up.

Got a while to go before i get to the moon (238k miles average) and it was on 215k when i got it 4.5 years ago so i reckon another 4.5 years mine will be on its way back from the moon.

Current 960 is the only 9xx I've owned[not had a 7xx]bought with just about 122,000 on it now on about 125,000.Highest mileage car I've owned[from memory]was the first Senator A I had which had over 260,000 on it when I bought it and was just over 300,000 when I sold it.

My 1989 Volvo 240 GLT auto was my highest Volvo mileage. 234,000 Miles when sold. I put 73,000miles on it in the 10 years I had it.

Current 1996 940 Auto LPT. Currently on 205,000miles.

Years ago had a 1986 740 GLE estate with B230K. Think that had around 180,000miles when PX for a new Corolla.

So as you can see, nothing that high mileage.

Basic servicing, keep cambelt changed and keep driving them! A very practical car that last's unlike the throw away over complex cars of today.

Cambelt?

What's one of those?
