All my 740 had rust where traiing strut is attached to chasis rail. always on pasenger side. it always required welding done to finest standard as it can be dangerous. so first thing that i was doing was to tap that place with screwdriver. if it was bareble other rust newer concerned me.

Also there is reference in the 700/900 faq as to the large amount of 900s with rust around the windows
