Rpm for gear change
What rpm should the xc90 normally rev to in first and second gear pulling off.

That depends on your driving style, motor temperature, engine load, and more
Granny driving = lower RPM Sporty driving = higher RPM

Driving normal. Regardless of cold or warm mine revs to about 2500 to 2700 in first and second then from their on usually about 2200. I thought it sounded a bit high.

its a lot of weight to get going , and not a 3 or 4 litre engine and turbo has only just started boosting by then . sounds about right ...

Turbo boost happens around 2000 RPM, engine is happiest between 2000 and 3000 RPM
