Default 2021 xC90 Wheel Arch Paint

Good afternoon, I would be interested to hear everyone’s thoughts? I bought this XC90 from New in 2021. I have just noticed today that the paint on the arch of both front wheels and the underside of the side steps is extremely roughened and has revealed a silver undercoat?? Interestingly this the area that when spray from my tyre or dirt is released that would take most of a hit. I cannot understand why a car of this value and spec would have paint that could potentially be impacted by weather to this degree. I only drive on main roads. Does anyone think Volvo warranty may come into play here? I suspect not from reading some previous threads.

Many thanks in advance

not QUITE the same but......... in the day I bought a new all white Escort RS Turbo which had the side skirts fitted as standard.....after a few months they were chipped to buggery - worse than yours in fact being chipped along the whole length so I complained to Ford and they replaced them as "a goodwill gesture" ....6 months later they were the same and they again replaced them (the car had road use only).....third time they refused point blank stating that the car was a homologation special and was never designed for road use at which point I threatened to sue them as they had sold the car FOR road use..... after a lot of arguing and threatening letters they bought the car back off me for an agreed price between trade-in and forecourt value.....so COMPLAIN!!!!!
....and possibly fit some mud flaps which will prevent this problem
