Volvo PowerShift gearbox
Apparently Volvo only used a wet clutch version of this Ford/Gertrag derived autobox, thus avoiding the same issues experienced with the Ford focus. That was certainly the case in 2008, when it was released, but what about six years later in 2014 T4 models?

All the powershift boxes are a heap of crap,
Seen far to many fail well before 100k

How many miles have you done? Have you been changing the oil and filter every 5000 miles?

Clutch packs slip when driving,
Internal solenoids fail and box refuses to change gear or drops out of gear randomly, Harsh shifts into 1st and reverse, Changing oil every 50,000 miles doesn't guarantee they will last any longer either, The earlier boxes fitted to the 2.0d's seem worst but then they are getting older now

OK then I guess you don't know how many oil changes it had previously. Could have been poorly maintained.

The oil change process is quite complex on these , and early boxes had 3 drain plugs one for each chamber , later ones had 2 ... after changing oil on dozens of these on their mandatory oil change on the 50.000 mile service , I determined that exactly 5.5 litres is the correct level ,to make the process quick and easy ... the box is very sensitive to having the correct oil level .
