V50 Indicators won't work - pic
Hi All
I'm having problems with my indicators (V50 2.0D 2007). I know exactly what it is and how to fix it, but don't have the part. The indicators won't work when the stalk is activated. I've disassembled the stalk and sourced the fault - the pins on the connector have snapped off. I've bent the remaining ones up so they do make a connection but it is intermittent. Now, I don't want to buy a whole new stalk just for this part. Does anyone know where I might be able to source a replacement? The part would be a matter of pence, however I am prepared to spend pounds cos I can't imagine anyone's going to sell it for 20p! Thanks Greg |

I suspect the chances of getting one as an individual component is slim to none. Couple of years ago I had a similar issue with a copper connector on an old car and decided to make my own. I got some copper sheet (0.5 mm) from eBay for a few quid, cut the shape using a good pair of scissors and then filed to suit. Worked a like a charm. Copper is very soft material to work with and complex shapes can be easily formed - only advice is don't bend it too much as it becomes "work hardened" and brittle. I also tinned the ends of the new connector with solder to give them a bit more of a snug fit.
