So now I'm well jealous Jack
I've used other Gunson tools in the past, in the distant past their timing light did a good job and I still use their Eezibleed system for the brakes. The Eezibleed needs a little intelligent manipulation to get the best result (mostly lower pressure to allow for the load sensing valve on the rear brakes) but nothing to tricky, if I had the space to use it [Trakrite] (and I considered a number of friends who might have a suitable space too) I would have bought it. I have also in the past made some ad hoc adjustments to tracking, and more so the steering wheel angle, after doing things like track rod ends based on not much more than looking at the wear on the tyres in order to get it in the ball park before paying the lads with the lasers, so a reasonable DIYer with the right kit and facilities should be able to do it. Unfortunately a lot of places only live up to the 'professional' epithet in as much as they make you pay for them to do it badly
