I believe the thread has gone as far as it can, and should either be closed or even deleted.

That said, I, like many others, take exception to being preached to about etiquette by junior members and one hit wonders.

If steven2299 had had the common decency to check back and reply to any of the queries - and we are not talking hours, or days, but weeks! - then no-one would have made any negative remarks, myself included. Whatever grief he received, he brought upon himself, end of!

Cheers,

T

without resorting to insults, what tends to happen on these forums (i am a member on several others) is that people with a car to sell think that if they advertise it on the appropriate forum for the type of car, then they will realise a better price for it since they are "dangling a carrot" in front of enthusiasts.
The ford sierra forum has introduced a system whereby you cannot access the trading area without first posting a minimum amount of replies to other topics. of course, this is a double edged sword, as you may then miss out on something rare/interesting

I agree posts like this are a complete pain in the arse. I've been looking for a 240 estate of a particular colour for ages now, missed one on egay and not in this case I realise because it was the wrong colour, but to give scant details and then not reply for nearly a month is beyond redemption imho. I'll keep looking then....................
