Dont forget to allow for the filler pipe, and the extra 500ml you can get by putting the tip of the pump just inside the filler cap

lol

Lol yeah, good point, i didn't bother working out the maths until just now.

60 Litres is 13.2 UK gallons, or 15.85 US gallons (Finally! Something in the US that isn't bigger. the US gallon!! lol)

so 505 miles to a tank would give you roughly 38 mpg in the UK or 33½ mpg in the US.

somehow i doubt my t4 could manage that, but i have a 400 mile round trip ahead of me at the end of the week so we will see lol

I might drive up there on cruise control, and back down here manually and see if there is a difference.... Although i do have a habit of sticking my foot down a bit if i have control... i'm no good at this "eco driving" stuff lol!

You see that all shows how bright I am. I'd never bothered to consider that 60 litres wasn't the 11 gallons I'd been doing the maths with. Time for me to recalculate dammit.
Thank you for your superior maths.

Did a run down to Bedford at the weekend. Nice easy run on M18 and A1. Stuck to 70-80mph and averaged 35.7mpg using A/C and cruise control ocassionally. Good times...

As soon as I came to work this morning, which is a run of around 7 miles, the average mpg started dropping. Bad times...
